Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance

Job Description

The School of Business at Elizabethtown College is seeking a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance. This renewable one-year position is full-time, 9-months and involves teaching in-person on campus starting in the fall of 2025.

The School and faculty are committed to preparing students for lifelong learning, service, and professional outcomes. Approximately 30% of Elizabethtown College students are first-generation
college students.

The School of Business is accredited by ACBSP Global and consists of 11 full-time faculty members and three staff members. We are located in the James B. Hoover Center for Business, a modern facility that hosts smart classrooms; a 95-seat lecture hall; collaborative spaces for networking, team building, and group study; and a finance lab with a Bloomberg Terminal.

We offer B.S. degrees in: Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Financial Economics, Marketing, and Business Data Science, as well as a B.A. in Economics.

Job Duties
The successful applicant will teach the Corporate Finance courses plus any two of the following courses: Investment, International Financial Management, Financial Institution Management, Advanced Financial Management, and Financial Derivatives. The applicant will also serve as an advisor to undergraduate students.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or DBA in Finance or related fields preferred. MBA or equivalent with teaching experience will be considered.
