Job Description

Our team in Law School Admissions serves the distinct Catholic mission of Notre Dame Law School by recruiting talented applicants with superior moral and ethical standards and a passion for service to others. The Law School seeks to provide an exceptional legal education informed and inspired by faith, and you could have a direct role in this mission by joining our team of friendly professionals.

As the Admissions Office Coordinator, you would serve as a point of contact (often the first) for interested students and visitors through a variety of interpersonal and clerical functions. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The handling of front desk tasks, including welcoming guests and responding in a timely manner to phone and email inquiries.
  • Coordinating the Law School’s visit program for prospective and admitted students, which includes both in-person events and virtual events held via Zoom.
  • Assisting with recruitment events and travel logistics.
  • Managing office supplies and office expenses using Notre Dame’s purchasing and procurement software.
  • Being an essential and valued member of a high-functioning, dynamic Admissions team that works with many constituents across the Law School, the University, and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 1 – 2 years experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of computers and ability to utilize a variety of software applications such as Google Suite, including Gmail, calendars, Google Documents, and Google Sheets; working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot administrative problems as they arise.
  • Effective ability to work on a team and manage a variety of situations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or some college
  • Experience with Notre Dame administrative procedures, e.g. TravelND/Concur, BuyND, Banner, EMS
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
