LAB TECHNICIAN (TEMP)

Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking for a highly motivated Lab technician to work in Dr. Thanh Hoang?s lab in the University of Michigan. Our research encompasses a wide range of topics, including glial biology, neurodevelopment and retinal disorders. Using a combination of omics and genetic tools, we particularly focus on exploring the regenerative capacity and neuroprotective roles of glial cells in injuries and neurodegenerative disorders.

Responsibilities*

The successful applicant will provide technical support and collaborate with other lab members. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Required Qualifications*

Candidates must hold a Undergraduate degree at minimum,  with basic molecular biology and cell biology techniques.  Candidates need to be highly self-motivated and willing to learn new concepts/techniques. 

Desired Qualifications*

Strong expertise in basic molecular biology and cell biology techniques. Experience in NGS sequencing data analysis, including single-cell RNA-Seq, total RNA-Seq, small RNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq and bulk ATAC-seq data analysis, is highly desirable. This position is best fit for a undergraduate student who want to get more experience and prepare for higher education.

Modes of Work

Background Screening
