CO Sr Research Program Coordinator
Job Description
The Molecular Psychiatry Program is seeking a Sr. Research Program Coordinator. The SR. Research Program Coordinator to work in collaboration with Dr. Nicola Cascella setting direction and coordinating an ongoing NIMH-sponsored study titled “Deep Brain Stimulation for chronic hallucinations in treatment-resistant schizophrenia: an early-stage clinical trial.”
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- The Sr. Research Program Coordinator will be involved in scientific discussions with collaborators, Principal Investigators, and funding organizations to support project planning.
- Familiarize with the protocol and the data to be collected.
- Assure quality control of the data base that he/she will handle.
- Assist in the coordination of the tests used in the study.
- Meet weekly with the PI of the study.
- Prepare the agenda for the NIMH monthly meeting.
- Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to make independent judgments and to act on decisions on a daily basis.
- Ability to work for long periods of time without direction.
- Ability to prioritize own work and work of others as needed.
- Highly efficient computer skills required (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience working with IT staff, social media, and online database (such as RedCap) development and maintenance.
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and implement research projects both independently and as part of a team of dedicated professionals.
- Will sometimes facilitate and coordinate collaborative research work of teams in other institutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing and walking for extended period.
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s).
- Ability to move standard equipment through a hospital or lab space/work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Three years related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years related experience.

Role/Level/Range: ACRP/03/MB
Starting Salary Range: $40,600 - $71,600 Annually (56,250 targeted (Commensurate with experience)
