Are you passionate about driving organizational success through effective performance management and professional development? Gettysburg College is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Assistant Director of Human Resources. As the Assistant Director of Human Resources, you will play a crucial role in implementing evolving best-practices in professional development, employee engagement, performance management, talent acquisition, and employee relations. Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, you'll operate in a collaborative and consultative manner within a fast-paced environment.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A minimum of three to five years of directly related HR experience is highly preferred. Experience managing employee relations issues is highly desired as well as organizational development experience. Completed HR certification through the HRCI or SHRM is also preferred. Knowledge and understanding of multiple HR disciplines is highly preferred including employee relations, employment law, organizational development, and talent management. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA). Knowledge of assessment practices as well as automated HR databases is highly desired.
